At American Plumbing Company, being a local business means more to us than having a Bryan/College Station address.

This is home.

It's where we live, where we raised our family, where our kids have gone to school, where we built our business, and where many of our customers have become friends. So when we talk about being locally owned and operated, we believe there should be more to that statement than simply serving homes in the area.

Being part of a community means investing in it, showing up for it, and helping take care of the people and organizations that make it a good place to live.

Local Business Supporting Local Business

One of the ways we stay connected to our community is by being involved with other local business owners and professionals.

These organizations give us opportunities to build relationships with other people who are working, hiring, serving customers, volunteering, and building businesses right here in the Brazos Valley.

We believe a strong community needs strong local businesses. Whenever possible, we want to know the people behind the businesses we recommend and support.

Supporting Children and Education

Education has always been especially important to us.

We regularly support local schools, student organizations, athletics, teachers, and educational programs throughout Bryan/College Station.

Sometimes that means a sponsorship. Sometimes it means donating an item to a fundraiser or helping a school organization. And sometimes it means simply showing up.

In August, our team participated in the Junior League's Stuff the Bus, helping distribute school supplies as local students prepared for another school year.

We've also supported the Bryan ISD Education Foundation's Hometown Reunion, including donating a HALO reverse osmosis system for its fundraising efforts.

You will often see American Plumbing Company supporting local school programs and events because we believe investing in students is an investment in the future of our community.

And as a former educator, this one is especially close to my heart.

Our Partnership with Voices for Children

One organization we are especially proud to support right now is Voices for Children, CASA of the Brazos Valley.

Voices for Children trains and supports Court Appointed Special Advocates who advocate for children involved in the foster care system. The organization serves children and families across Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, and Madison counties.

CASA volunteers can provide something incredibly important during an uncertain time in a child's life: a consistent adult whose job is to advocate for that child's best interests.

For American Plumbing Company, supporting an organization that protects and advocates for children fits naturally with one of our most important core values: family.

Supporting Compassionate Care Close to Home

We are also proud to support the Acara Hospice Foundation.

The foundation supports hospice patients and their families and is working toward an especially meaningful goal for our area: creating a community hospice house in the Brazos Valley.

The vision is to provide a peaceful place where people can receive compassionate end-of-life care when remaining at home isn't possible.

Projects like this remind us that community support isn't always about something we personally need today. It's also about helping build resources that will be there when one of our neighbors needs them tomorrow.

Showing Up for Community Causes

We also try to say "yes" when we can to the many organizations doing good work throughout our area.

Recently, American Plumbing Company supported the Women's Council of REALTORS® Brazos Valley's Denim & Diamonds Runway Show.

And on October 25, we'll be at the 2026 Bully Bash Festival at Century Square, supporting Make A Stand Bully Rescue as it celebrates 15 years of helping bully breeds in need.

Animal rescue may not have much to do with plumbing, and that's exactly the point.

Not everything we support has to relate to our industry. Sometimes being a good local business simply means supporting good people doing good things. Be sure to stop by our booth and ask Heather about the over 200 Bulldogs she's helped rescue and place in homes.

Remembering Those Who Serve

Two areas we will continue to look for opportunities to support are education and veterans.

Our appreciation for our country and for the men and women who have served it is part of who we are as a company. American pride isn't just something you'll see in our logo or on our trucks. We believe it also means appreciating the people who have served our country and doing what we can to strengthen the community we call home.

Why Community Involvement Matters to Us

We aren't sharing this because we need recognition for every donation, sponsorship, or event.

We're sharing it because we think people should know who they're doing business with.

When you choose a truly local company, the money you spend doesn't necessarily disappear into a corporate office hundreds of miles away. Local businesses employ local people. We buy from other local businesses. We sponsor teams and programs. We donate auction items. We join local organizations. We show up at community events.

And then our neighbors support us in return.

That's how a community works.

American Plumbing Company was built here, and we want to continue building it in a way that makes Bryan/College Station better, not just through the plumbing work we do, but through the kind of company we choose to be.

We're proud to serve Bryan/College Station because this isn't just where we work. It's home.
